Ever Over After:Review

*Revieved for Honest Review

Rating: 5 stars

This book was beautifully done. I was biting my nails waiting for this book to come out. I HAD to know what would happen next. Would they be happy? Would revenge be taken? Would Ever over After, turn into a Happily Ever After?
This book did not disappoint. Low and Ever are amazing characters that have had a lot of heartache and trauma to overcome. The author brought this out in the book beautifully. I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next.

Ever Over After (The Over Duet #2)

Cover Design: DCP Designs

Synopsis

Marlo … wild-eyed, untamed, and every single thing I’ve ever wanted from this life. I wasn’t ready for her back then. I was a stupid boy with adult feelings and no idea what to do with them. I squandered away every chance she gave me.

Yes, love like ours either burns white hot or crumbles under the pressure.

And now I’m back to sift through the rubble.

Questions and excuses are two things I have in spades. What I need now are answers.

Answers and Low.

Always Low.

My name is Ever Montgomery, and this is my story of love resurrected.

This book was wonderful. I had read Groupie before this book so I knew a little of what to expect, but had no idea some of the twists and turns it would take me. This book took off with a running start from page one, and it never really slowed. I loved every second of it. I used to be a foster mom, so this story struck a HUGE chord within my heart. I really connected with Quincy and loved her whole character. Can’t wait to read more from M.E. Carter

The cover really drew me in. It’s hypnotic and beautiful. I felt it was a great choice for this book.

When I first started reading this book I was sucked in. The suspense was really good and I was hooked. You really got a feel for the characters fear and emotions.

Half way through though I felt like I was dragging. The story seemed to slow down instead of speed up. Towards the end it picked back up, but at that point I was just trying to finish it.

This was quite an interesting concept for a book. I was thrilled to find out that the events regarding the historical murders were accurate. I had a slow start to the book, but once I got into it I couldn’t put it down. The twists and turns of the plot are easy to follow, but not easy to predict. I’m plenty excited for the next book to come out to see what happens next!

Black Widow meets Jessica Jones
Love superhero books. This one is definitely different than usual superhero books but I can see the appeal. I would for sure continue to read this series just because it kind of left it on a cliffhanger and I NEED to know how it all goes down. I wish some things went a little more in depth as to why certain things were the way the were though.

Next book please!

This book takes you to another  world, literally.

Katerina is just living her normal life, when she gets sick. She finds out that she has the same cancer that her twin brother has. Without a miracle, she’ll die.

That’s when the doctors tell her about HOPE. It’s a drug designed to kill the cancer completely while basically freezing her body in time. Her and her brother decide to go through with it. They say their see you laters, and in they go.

While in their chambers, something bad happens. LA has a huge earthquake that levels the entire building they were in the basement of. Because of this, everyone assumed they died.

Katerina wakes up alone with nothing but a note from her brother, telling her how to find him.
This book is a great sci-fi book. Normally I don’t read his type of book, but it sounded to good to pass up. And I was right! It’s a wonderful story not only about a strong girl, but about the bond a brother and sister share. A bond where you would travel to the ends of Earth and beyond for them. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to read the next ones in the series.

The Devil In The Details: Book Sale Alert!!!

On Sale for $.99 until Jan 5th,2017!

The Devil is in the Details https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MG6HSU4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_A6Wzyb80DZTSC

About the book from the author:

I started writing The Devil is in the Details about two and a half years ago. The story is focused more on what people are willing to sacrifice to obtain their utmost happiness, and how there is a downward spiral for those who are willing to hurt others for their own gain. I remember when I was in my late teens and early twenties watching friends who I thought were “good people” begin to ruin their lives by sacrificing their character for what they believed would make them happy. It happens frequently, the more wrong a person does, the more we make excuses for ourselves about why our actions are okay. The main character in The Devil is in the Details justifies a betrayal of her husband and her best friend for a return to the life of excitement she knew as a teenager. She doesn’t realize the cost- and the destruction she leaves behind. I hope that readers will enjoy the story, but will also come away with an unsettled feeling because deceit and betrayal do not clean up easily.
