Jackson Cane tastes like red-hot cinnamon, salt water, and sin.

Last First Kiss by Sidney Halston is the second book in the Iron Clad Security series. This book is one that is really close to my heart because I too was an MP in the Army. Annie is the little annoyingly smart sister to Joey Clad, the co-owner of Iron Clad Security. She is one of the best when it comes to computers but she has the combat training under her belt and she is ready to get into the fight as an actual security guard, except everyone seems to be against her. Rocco is the playboy actor looking at playing the lead in a movie that will make his career, yet this movie is one that people don’t want to be made. Rocco is forced to get a bodyguard but he didn’t expect what else he would get when he hired the feisty girl in the conference room. These two have great chemistry, they are well developed, instant lust but a slow growing love and I love that as tough as she is, Rocco brings out her softer side and gets her to open up about what happened to her while she was in combat. Thank you Sidney for writing another amazing book and one that I hope ladies can look up to this heroine/soldier.

Greg and Elena are still some of my favorite Rom-Com characters. They really know exactly what to say and do to make my day.

I plowed through this book in a day because I could not put it down! I just had to know what crazy thing was gonna happen next! Carter made them so lovable that I just didn’t want to let them go! 
M.E Carter is lucky she gave me this beautiful ending to this story because Getting a Grip left me wanting to get a grip around her neck! Balance Check was the exact thing that not only I needed, but that Greg and Elena deserved. Love them and love Carter for making them.

Thank you, thank you! This book is just what I needed after Getting a Grip. It was funny and fun! I’ve never read a book with more relatable characters. 
The book follows up after the last with the lives after Greg moves. Let me tell you, him moving made me so mad! UGH LIBBY SUCKS!  

I’d write more, but I just put some hotdogs on to boil. enjoy the book, it’s perfect!

Coming Up For Air: Review

I’ve always loved Miranda Kennally’s books and Coming Up For Air was no different. 

This book was a coming of age story. It told the story of Maggie who is a Swimming Superstar. 

Even with someone who is amazingly talented as Maggie though, will have some confidence problems. She battles not just others in the pool, but herself as well. 

I really love how well Kennally told the story of a girl who wasn’t afraid to go for what she wanted, even if she had every right to be. 

I can’t wait to read yet another book by her. 

Body Parts: Review

This book was a dystopian lovers dream! It explored so many different aspects of what our future could possibly become. 

Everyone in this day and age wants to be faster, stronger, smarter, more beautiful. No one is satisfied just being themselves. 

Body Parts is a scary thrill ride that I couldn’t decide if I wanted off of it or not. 

It takes you down the path of what can happen if we let our vanity get to out of control. What happens when we no longer care about anything but ourselves? Are we willing to do anything to be better versions of ourselves, even if it has a great cost? 

I don’t think we are prepared to pay it.

I highly recommend this book and I look forward to other books by Kapp.

Polly and Erik’s chemistry is off the charts from the very beginning. They are immediately drawn together. I love how the chemistry between them two just leapt off the pages. 
Polly and Erik both have had extremely horrible things happen to them in their lifetimes. So it makes sense that they would be the ones to heal each other. 
I’ve read all of Brooks books, and they always manage to really suck you in and bring you to her worlds. I love how her books are so intertwined with each other. It makes you feel like you already know the characters beforehand.

He’s seated at a table in the far corner when I spot him from the door. He’s not hard to miss—not with his purple t-shirt in a sea of black and yellow, and wavy mussed hair.

He’s slouching, hunched over his table.
